STOP, Hammertime!

I was right! Guess where we were last weekend? Keystone, of course. And no complaints here. I love it up there. Every weekend this last month has consisted of heading to Keystone and going hiking. But this past Saturday I woke up and just felt awful. Hiking sounded dreadful. I wasn't going to let that stop us from getting out. So instead of a hike we took an afternoon drive.

And since I am anti-fall this year it definitely helped boost my spirits, because it was gorgeous!

But not as gorgeous as this guy. (Wow I am getting cheesier all the time.)

Three Games at Once

Since we don't even have cable and my parents place in the mountains not only has cable but some insane sports package, I have a feeling that this is where (Keystone) and how (football) my husband will be spending his next few Saturdays.

You will be missed.

Not Ready to Let Go

I know that in my last post I said to bring on Fall, but I lied. I don't want it. I'm not ready yet. Which is surprising because I usually love, Love, LOVE Fall! Fall colors are my favorite, plus that means sweater season and I love sweaters! Also it means Halloween is getting closer. Halloween, my third favorite holiday behind Christmas and Valentines day, of course. (It used to be my second favorite, but once Valentines day basically became my anniversary Halloween got bumped down a spot. Wow! I am sounding more and more ridiculous as I write this!)

Anyway, I can't seem to let go of Summer this year. I don't want to let go of my lazy Summer days. I don't want to let go of my sunny walks with my sweaty stroller baby. I don't want to let go of the warm sun on my face as I lay by the pool. I don't want to let go of my cozy afternoons spent on the front porch swing. I want to keep Summer forever.

So this past weekend as I was staring into the inevitability- the changing leaves...

I couldn't help but cling to every last bit of Summer...

and think life is good. And with my boys it will be good no matter what season.

Now let's skip Fall and bring on the Winter. I am getting ski hungry.

Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day Weekend we got together with my family minus Whitney, Phil, and Kate. (We missed you guys!) We headed up to Keystone, and we had a great time!

We ate...

...at the Taste of Keystone. We had lamb, flank steak, sushi, buffalo tacos, quesadillas, butternut squash, salads, white chocolate spaghetti and dark chocolate meatballs, chocolate covered pretzels and so much more that I can't even remember it all! Delicious!

We browsed...

...through the Breckenridge Art Festival. We came up with many ideas on how to decorate our future, way into the future like hundreds of years into future, cabin in the mountains.

We Hiked...

... the Mesa Cortina trail just West of Keystone overlooking Lake Dillon. This trail was the same trail Aaron helped out for his Eagle Scout project, years ago. We picked an easier hike since we didn't know how long Ethan would last, but we made it about 30 minutes in and 30 minutes back and he did just fine.

Then we did the regulars... We shopped, golfed, took tons of nature walks, and played tons of games!

And although I am clinging to every last bit of summer, Labor Day always reminds me that Fall is just around the corner so I say bring it on, and by that I mean the leaves... not the cold!
