World's Largest Guitar Lesson!

Monday night Aaron and I were able to head up to Red Rocks for an attempt at making it into the Guinness book of world records. 501 guitar players gathered together in the quest for being the biggest guitar lesson ever recorded. We were just under the record by 39 participants. The record is set at 539. I can't say that we were one of the 501 participants. We were there but Aaron decided not to bring his guitar to the event. Although, this has inspired Aaron to pull out his guitar and play a few tunes this week.

It was fun to be a part of the crowd but the reason we headed up to the beautiful Red Rocks was to watch the all time classic... Zoolander! Yes, we could have watched it at home sitting on a comfortable couch but we opted for the rock hard ground, receiving the numb rear end feeling. There is just something about watching Ben Stiller "turn left" in the open air, while being able to look across the glowing lights of the Denver skyline. It was a fun night!

And look who we ran into! Our good friends Jennie and Grant!

Everything but Jessica Simpson!

While chillin in bed on a rainy Saturday morning, I received a phone call from my parents asking if Aaron and I would like to go to a Denver Broncos game. I immediately said yes because I had never been to an NFL game before. "What about the rain?" I asked. "Don't worry," mom says, "We will be sitting in your dad's company box!"

We were spoiled! As we were taking off our jackets because we were nice and toasty, everyone outside was getting drenched. We were served delicious food. We got to watch the Olympics and the Broncos kill the Dallas Cowboys at the same time. Oh, did I mention that we got free massages as well!

I was hoping to spot Jessica Simpson in the box next to us, but no luck. I guess Mr. Tony Romo made sure that wouldn't happen. I don't think that I can ever go to another NFL game without sitting in the box. This was just too good!

Mountain Olympics!

So this weekend Aaron and I finally made it up to the mountains. We had been hoping to go camping but with all of this rain we didn't want to take our chances. Instead we headed up to Keystone and stayed at my parents' condo. We started off the weekend by watching the ridiculously amazing opening ceremonies of the Olympics which then inspired us to have our own Olympics.

Here were a few of the events.

First we started off with some cycling.

Next we considered swimming.

After forgoing that event, we headed over to get our BMX on!

Then beach volleyball???

And for the main event... Paddle Boating!!!

This event had three heats. First was the timed individual race. Be warned that fast pedaling can cause rapid tiring of the legs!

Next was Man vs. Animal! They totally schooled us!

Finally was the obstacle course. We had to maneuver between the water fountains without hitting the wildlife.

We ended the day with some Cup Stacking and Phase 10!!!

It was a great weekend! Go USA!!!

Setting the Stage for Success!!!

What have Aaron and I been up to this week??? (And I can include Aaron on this) Well it all started last Saturday afternoon after we attended our friend Brandon Harmon's wedding. - This was our 6th wedding this year... yes 6! I don't know what it was about this year but everyone is getting married. I even had 3 more good friends get married this year and I wasn't able to attend their weddings. - In between the ceremony and luncheon and reception we headed down the street to my school to start setting up. Aaron had a blast :) He is now thinking about becoming a professional stapler.

After a few more days this week of setting up on my own, this is what I have come up with.

Let me take you on a tour!
